The One Trick to Perfect Your Concealer + Avoid Creases

DSC03982.jpg

Well hello there! It has been awhile hasn't it. Well you know me, my information comes in bursts, and I never want to half-ass anything (when you can full-ass everything...) ha - anyway I'm back with the ONE TRICK YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CONCEALERS.

The problem...

Okay, so if you're anything like me, you probably have some puffy eyes and some damn dark eye circles that are impossible to cover. Well, at least that's the ugly reality for me.I've scoured the face of Youtube and MakeupAlley trying to find the best tricks/shade/products to cover them circles up, but even with the best thing I've found:Tarte's Maracuja Creaseless Concealer!!!It still creases like crazy. (What a lie in that freaking product title. What. a. lie.)DSC03977

The solution...

So when Krystina from Face Luxe & Liberty reached out to me, I was psyched to have her help me out.(Did you stop reading? Don't stop reading. I'm not trying to sell you a product omg!!!!)Anyway, so what Krystina does is that she helps you out with make-up questions and product issues and tips etc. etc., on demand. So like scheduling one of those expensive "make-up lessons" with brands' counters, but instead, you get professional and unbiased make-up tips and recommendations, all while you're putting up your feet at home or during lunch in the office.obvs when you have other make-up questions or issues like covering up acne scars or getting foundation to not look cakey, you can shoot it all during your lessons.

HOW?!

(let me tell you about this, and then I'll reveal the tip at the end. Trust me it's worth it.)Face Luxe & Liberty make all this possible by having virtual consultations/tutorials via video chat - so you can do it anywhere, anytime. There are several packages and lesson plans available, and everything can be tailored to your needs. The package will also include products recommended and handpicked just for you.

The results...

DSC03980DSC03983The yspeak for themselves right? And this was just after ONE 30-minute consultation at the office (see background).During the lesson (before which, Krystina briefly learnt about my make-up collection and common issues), I learnt to do a everyday no makeup makeup look with step-by-step instructions. I did not have to buy any new products, though some were recommended to me.

THE TRICK

Okay la, you probably scrolled past all the middle stuff but I know I promised you this so here it is. The trick to have creaseless concealer with cream/liquid concealers is to:Mix your concealer with your liquid foundation in a 1:2 ratio before application - one part concealer, two parts foundation. (Then you dab on the mixture lightly with your ring finger and cover the dark circle area in a triangular shape down towards your cheeks)*You can also alter the ratio depending on your own preference*Boom. That's it. Another extra thing I do is, after applying the wet concealer, I blend it out with a damp beautyblender/sponge/whatever choice of sponge you use, before setting it with powder. You have to set it with (translucent) powder. DSC03985There you go! Try it out and let me know how it goes :)Check out Face Luxe & Liberty and tell Krystina I sent you - her tips are pretty useful whether you're a make-up noob or an advance addict (like me).

Till next time,xx
