Welcoming New Things

yellow2.jpg

yellow1yellow2yellow3yellow4yellow5Has it been this long already? I'm so sorry guys for being away, and I apologise even more for always taking these unannounced hiatus. Of course, if you follow me at all, you will know that my everyday life is practically on Instagram. Whether it's the new shoes I bought today, or the foodporn I've had the pleasure to enjoy last week, it's all at @helloabella.

Wearing: American Retro top, Monki culottes, Urban Outfitters heels (which I later bagged for less than $200HKD at the mega friends & family sale at LabConcept. hehee)

You may not be able to see in the photos, or maybe you can, but the details on the top is actually embroidered and not just at the front, but down the sleeves too. Also the pair of culottes from Monki is actually made of a thicker and more formal kind of material, which makes it that much more majestic and substantial. The heels, needless to explain, is my staple this season.

On a more personal note, I've really enjoyed styling my stuff in a more sophisticated, un-childlike way lately. Especially with work demanding more and more of my time and socializing skills, as well as having to attend more and more semi-formal events, I find myself no longer having the opportunity to rock just jeans and slip-ons. Which is just as well, because through winter I've been practicing hard on overcoming my pet peeves - repeating items in outfits. So now, I'm able to apply those skills to rehashing old spring pieces and selectively buying, or rather investing, in new ones.

This outfit was the final one in the series shot by the amazing Victoria Chan Photography, and also, a nod to my old self and a greeting to the better, classier, but still kind of retarded new me.

Keep an eye out for bigger and better things on here! I have much planned, including (an already recorded and slightly silly) new haul vlog from Taiwan.

Till next time,xx
