Why I Hate Heels
... Just kidding guys. Not all heels anyway. You know what I mean right? What I hate is the experience of stumbling around in uncomfortable heels, ouch-ing on the inside with every step and counting the moments till you get home and finally able to peel the knifes off of your feet.Wearing: Knitwear & denim shirt from Fa Yuen Street, leggings from Cotton On, Socks from Japan and Nike Air Raid 2014 via Donald Sports And LivingSometimes it's not about how high the heels themselves are. I myself am super fussy with anything that has a boost in height, and rumours have it that the heavier you are, the more pressure your feet has and thus the pressure multiplies when your feet aren't placed flat but instead balancing on two points of your sole. I've made it a point to always choose comfort over looking good, because I want to FEEL good on the inside too. The countless scars, blister marks and more will always be a lesson for me, so I always try to keep a balance (pun intended!)Usually I look for a few things in my buys: comfort, genuine leather and balance. First of all, they have have HAVE to be comfortable. If they aren't when you're trying them on plush carpets, chances are they won't great even after a couple glasses of wine. Genuine leather shoes will make sure they will fit to your feet with time even if they didn't do so perfectly in the beginning. Balance means that (especially heels) the shoes have to balance on its own perfectly and won't wobble. Tilt them a little from side to side to see if it wobbles and that will be a good tip on how easy it is balance yourself in them.PS. for heel newbies, boots and platforms are always safer options because they hug your entire feet, a.k.a. less blisters when you're wearing socks. Also, platforms or flatforms are way easier to wear for hours on end!
So that's my little rant-turn-tip. Hope you've all been well.xx
