Shanghai Tang's First Fragrance Collection

DSC00595Hey guys! I know fragrances are appearing relatively more often on my blog lately, but it isn't without good reasons. Recently I was invited to check out Shanghai Tang's first ever collection of fragrances, a.k.a. The Silk Road Collection, and I was not disappointed! The event took place at their Duddell's flagship store and you would think that it would be another cliché ~Asian Persuasion~ ordeal, but actually, it was so much more than that.Shanghai Tang Mens FragranceDSC00598Before this, Shanghai Tang has already done home fragrances, so an actual fragrance collection actually made a lot of sense. I mean, A&F has it, and any store that is anything should have not only a signature smell, but one that you can purchase off the rack. This Silk Road Collection comes in two parts, namely men's and women's. Women often want a different scent for each day, so they have created five scents for us; and men being the loyal and unchanging ones, have three scents to choose from.Shanghai Tang Gold LIly FragranceShanghai Tang Oriental Pearl fragranceShanghai Tang Spring Jasmine fragranceShanghai Tang Rose Silk fragrance Yes there are five scents instead of four I just missed a photo, sorry! Their names are gorgeous as well: Gold Lily, Oriental Pearl, Orchid Bloom (not photoed above), Spring Jasmine (my fave) and Rose Silk.Inspired by the ancient golden seals used by the Chinese royal families, the bottle has a good weight, and doesn't at all feel cheap or tacky. Like most perfumes, their scents are strong, but not the kind that'll make you want your nose to drop off.I also thought that these fragrances all were pretty timeless and feminine, so if you're trying to find a scent to stick with forever, these might be a good bet despite moods, weather and season.DSC00601Here's a random photo of one of the men's fragrances, because I have no idea how guys pick their scents but I thought the bottle looked quite nice.If you'd like to check it out, there's more info online or you could just drop by one of their stores! From what I saw online though some are already sold out.

Till next time,xx
